Welcome to the McCormick Place Art Collection A convention center can be more than a place to conduct business. It can be a source of inspiration. McCormick Place is proud to house one of the largest collections of public artwork in Illinois.

Concourse

Our facility is often a visitor's first and last impression of our city. For that reason, the owner and operator of McCormick Place—the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA)—commissioned more than 100 pieces of original artwork for the South and West Buildings. This collection is meant to engage and educate our visitors.

The result is artwork that enlivens the architecture and complements the views of the city, while showcasing the vibrant cultural life of Chicago and Illinois, and the rich diversity of our people.

We hope our Art Collection adds to your McCormick Place experience.

Viewing Hours: The Art Collection is available for viewing by those attending events held at McCormick Place. Requests for individual and group tours by the public will be considered on the basis of availability only, as portions of the buildings may be closed during scheduled events.
