Environmental Friendly Initiatives

To limit the amount of toxic chemicals used to keep the facilities clean and sanitary, the following environmentally-friendly initiatives have been implemented:

The use of Green Seal cleaning products:

General Purpose Cleaner
Neutral Floor Cleaner
Glass Cleaner
Air Freshener
Bathroom Cleaner

An integrated pest management program to ensure that potential pest abatement is handled with the smallest environmental impact possible.

To help ensure superior air quality, McCormick Place is now implementing the following practices:

Propane fork lifts that will reduce emissions are now allowed.
Recently purchased a hybrid vehicle for use by a Security and Safety Detail Unit which patrols our buildings.

When applicable, proposals pertaining to the procurement of McCormick Place goods or services must include a green component.
