Book an Event Event Planning Floorplans Amenities     Food Service     Internet Service Chicago as a Destination Event Planner - Amenities - Internet Service McCormick Place is pleased to offer Internet and networking services to event organizers and their exhibitors. The following information outlines the services offered, pricing and suggestions to assist you in choosing the right services for your event. Please call our Internet Services Department at (312) 567-8060 and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have. All Internet prices are flat rates; there is no per minute usage or connection charges by service providers and the rate provides customers with connectivity for the duration of the event. All services are delivered via CAT5 RJ45 connections over an Ethernet network. ETHERFAST 256: For a single computer, plug and play simplicity. A plug and play connection at 256 kbps. Simply enter the supplied username/password and go. No need to configure the computer. For more than on PC, please order services below. ETHERNET 256: Recommended for basic web surfing, checking email, etc. A connection to the Internet at 256 kbps (thousand bits per second). Includes one static and fully routable TCP/IP address. Up to six additional TCP/IP addresses may be added to this level of service. Please note that a hub will be required for more than one computer. ETHERNET 512: Twice as fast as the 256 service, this service is perfect for multiple computers or for more involved web-based applications. Connects at 512 kbps. Includes five static and fully routable TCP/IP addresses. Up to six additional TCP/IP addresses may be added to this level of service. A hub is required to share this connection with multiple computers. ETHERNET 768: For larger number of computers or for applications requiring higher bandwidth. Connects at 768 kbps. Includes eleven static and fully routable TCP/IP addresses. Up to twelve additional TCP/IP addresses may be added to this level of service. A hub is required to share this connection with multiple computers. DEDICATED ETHERNET 1.55: For large numbers of computers or for those requiring serious speed for downloading large files, video, etc. A dedicated connection to the Internet at 1.55 mbps (million bits per second). Includes seventy-five static and fully routable TCP/IP addresses. Additional addresses may be added. ADDITIONAL BANDWIDTH: You may add additional bandwidth to the Dedicated Ethernet 1.55 service. Please call our Internet Services Department for assistance. VLAN CONNECTIONS: Allows for connectivity between any locations within the McCormick Place complex. For sharing data from a central source to single or multiple locations (ie. From a speaker ready room to multiple meeting rooms, or from booth to booth, meeting room to meeting room). Connectivity at 10 mbps is standard. 100 mbps connections are also available. WIFI SERVICES: McCormick Place has wireless Internet access available in many common areas throughout the complex. All food-related areas are covered, and we are in the process of rolling this service out to additional areas.
