Every event has its own goals and objectives as well as operation requirements. We have divided the types of events into six categories for you, to help you maximize the resources available during the planning process. The following is a brief description of each event:

Meetings
Meetings are an important vehicle for communication. Whether you are planning a board, team or management meeting, we have the facilities to help make your meeting dynamic.

Conventions
Gathering industry leaders to discuss issues and educate each other is the focus of a convention. No matter the size or scope of your industry, we can accommodate any size gathering.

Expositions
Trade expositions are the backbone of an open market place. Whether you need to showcase medical, computer or heavy equipment, we have the facilities to host your event.

Private Events
We have the facilities and services to host social or charitable galas as well as community events. What better place to hold that special event than the nation's premiere facility!

Public Events
McCormick Place welcomes public shows. We can help your consumer event find a home here, especially in the winter and mid-summer months.

Production and Theater
McCormick Place offers the facilities of a first class legitimate theatre found in the Arie Crown Theatre. Three seating configurations and state of the art sound and lighting all make this venue a memorable sight for production events.
