McCormick Place is the premier convention facility in North America. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Chicago and accessible by all of the city’s major transportation hubs, McCormick Place welcomes approximately 3 million visitors every year.
The McCormick Place campus is home to some of the world’s largest and most attended conventions, meetings, and trade shows. Designed as one of the first purpose-built convention centers in the United States, McCormick Place today is a convention center campus comprised of more than 2.6 million square feet of exhibition space, the 10,000 seat Wintrust Arena, the 4,000 seat Arie Crown Theater, nearly 3,000 attached hotel rooms, and a variety of on-site dining options, all connected by a network of pedestrian sky bridges and promenades.
McCormick Place is owned by the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA). MPEA is a municipal corporation with a mission to attract tradeshows, conventions, meetings, expositions, and public events to strengthen the economy of Illinois and the region at large.
